SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT/COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE

The Community Roundtable consists of elected representatives from 45 municipalities near SFO. Their monthly meetings are the forum for public discussion about airport noise abatement activities, and the motivating force behind multiple programs.

The San Francisco Airport/Community Roundtable, one of the oldest and most respected community-based airport noise mitigation organizations in the country, is often used as a model by distant neighborhood groups wishing to work cooperatively with the aviation industry to improve noise abatement programs.

Established in 1981, the Roundtable’s 45 representatives and alternates are elected officials representing the City and County of San Francisco and San Mateo, as well as advisory members, airline chief pilots and FAA staff. SFO Airport Director John L. Martin and his staff support and attend Roundtable meetings presenting both special and regular reports.

The On April 4, 2007 the Roundtable elected to change to a bimonthly schedule (six meetings per year) and all remaining meetings in 2007 and all meetings in 2008 will be on the first Wednesday of each even numbered month at 7:00 p.m.

Meetings are held at:
